Haley: Resilience Through Family
Haley is a 15 year-old fighting a courageous battle against stage 4 NS Hodgkin Lymphoma with bulk, a rare and challenging form of pediatric cancer. Diagnosed in the summer of 2022, Haley has endured months of aggressive treatment, including chemotherapy and radiation. Haley remains strong, however, drawing her strength from her loving family, her siblings Aiden and Piper, her two border collies, Archie and Carmen, and her sweet bunny, Marshmallow.
Haley has a deep love for animals, music, and the arts, and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. They cherish their time together being outside and bonding as a family. Their separation during Haley’s treatment at Nationwide Children’s Hospital has been especially difficult.
In January 2024, TRF joined Haley’s support network when we awarded them Signature and Travel Grants, easing the financial burden that comes with Haley’s diagnosis. These grants allowed Haley’s mother to stay by her side during treatment while her father cared for their other children at home.
“Organizations like TRF are a godsend,” says Amanda, Haley’s mother. “We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support and generosity. It has meant the world to us during this incredibly challenging time.”
With the love of her family and the support of TRF, Haley continues to fight with hope and determination.
