At 16 years old, Tyler was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Despite the diagnosis, Tyler chose not to let his prognosis define him. His resilience, humor, and unwavering optimism touched everyone around him.
Over the next year, Tyler’s story inspired countless people, including the Grammy Award-winning band Imagine Dragons. At a small performance in Provo, the band dedicated their song “It’s Time” to him after Tyler's brother Jesse sent the band a message letting them know that Tyler used the song for his treatment, inspired by the lyric: “The path to heaven runs through miles of clouded hell.” This simple act of kindness ignited a friendship and cemented a bond that would give rise to the Tyler Robinson Foundation.
In the following year, he was able to touch countless lives.
Determined to continue Tyler’s legacy of creating something positive despite the odds, his family and members of the band Imagine Dragons came together to create the Tyler Robinson Foundation. Below is Tyler’s own story, written just a few months before his passing.
