Cooper: The Power of Perseverance
Cooper’s cancer journey began when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of pediatric cancer. Cooper is currently being treated at a TRF partner hospital in Seattle, Washington, where he has faced an intense and challenging treatment plan, including 7 rounds of chemotherapy, a 14-hour surgery, radiation, and immunotherapy. Cooper has pushed through each step with courage and determination. He is currently on maintenance after completing his initial 16-month treatment plan.
This year, Cooper reached an incredible milestone—he is officially in maintenance with No Evidence of Disease! Though this is a huge victory, Cooper’s treatment with a newly approved drug will continue for two more years. The medication is a groundbreaking step in his fight and his family is committed to seeing him through every step.

Outside of his treatments, Cooper continues to thrive alongside his parents and sister. He’s a huge fan of Seattle’s sports teams, the Kraken and the Mariners. During Childhood Cancer awareness month, Cooper had the chance to step onto the field and steal second base at a Mariners game.
Thanks in part to the TRF Signature and Travel Grant Programs, Cooper’s family has been able to stay by his side throughout his treatment, alleviating the burden of travel expenses as they make the journey to and from medical appointments. Recently, Cooper and his family celebrated the end of his initial treatment with an unforgettable trip to the beach. This marked a significant milestone as it was the furthest Cooper could travel since his diagnosis, and the family cherishes the memories they created together.
