On September 20, 2024, TRF hosted its highly anticipated 2024 Rise Up Gala at Wynn Las Vegas. This annual event brought together over 800 guests, including supporters, donors and families impacted by pediatric cancer, for an unforgettable evening of celebration and inspiration.
The evening commenced with a red carpet and cocktail reception, where guests mingled, explored an array of silent auction items, and enjoyed the vibrant energy of the room. The dazzling atmosphere set the tone for what would be a spectacular night.
During the gourmet dinner and live auction, attendees bid on exclusive experiences and one-of-a-kind items, raising critical funds to support TRF’s mission. Highlights included Brian Quinn and Joe Gatto working the crowd and encouraging support, then donating two trips to see a taping of the Impractical Jokers in New York.
One of the most moving segments of the evening was the compilation of ten years of TRF family stories. These stories illuminated the profound impact of TRF’s financial and emotional support, bringing the mission to life for everyone in the room.
The night’s entertainment reached its crescendo with a live performance by Imagine Dragons, who took the stage to deliver a high-energy set of their biggest hits. A few lucky donors had their wishes granted when the band performed requests, including John Denver's Country Road, Eminem's Lose Yourself and Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby.
The pinnacle of every gala is the band's tribute to Tyler Robinson during It's Time. This year, we remembered those TRF children who lost their battles with a special memorial tribute. The performance wasn’t just about music—it was a rallying cry to unite in the fight against pediatric cancer. The performance can be viewed on the band's YouTube channel.
Adding charm and humor to the evening were Joel McHale, the gala’s Master of Ceremonies, and Aisha Tyler, Co-Host, whose dynamic presence at the end of the evening kept the audience engaged and entertained.
