23 Jul Geoff and the Cancer Slayers
Here is his story:
“My name is Geoffrey Alintoff and I am 12 years old. As my friends and family know, I play guitar and LOVE music! On March 8, 2014, my Mom and Dad took me and my sister to see one of our favorite bands, Imagine Dragons, at the Izod Center. The concert was amazing in so many ways. During the concert, the lead singer, Dan Reynolds gave a heartfelt speech about his friend, a teenager named Tyler Robinson, who had recently passed away from cancer.”
“ . . . Dan’s speech deeply moved me and before I even left the Izod Center that night, I knew that I wanted to focus my Mitzvah Project (a charitable project) on The Tyler Robinson Foundation. With my Mom’s help we reached out to TRF about my desire to make them the focus of my Mitzvah Project and their response has been overwhelmingly supportive.”
“As we started to brainstorm ideas with TRF, I got more and more excited about helping. I knew that I needed a team of “Cancer Slayers” if I wanted to reach as many people as possible and raise as much money as possible.”
“We are extremely proud and honored to be partnering with the Tyler Robinson Foundation for their Annual Giving Day, on March 4, 2015. According to Tyler’s brother, Jesse, for their family, March 4 is not just the date of Tyler’s passing, but a reminder to March Forward (Fourth) and so they chose that day as their big giving day. On the TRF Annual Giving Day, events will be held around the world with the goal of raising 1 Million dollars in that 24 hour period.
We will be raising money from now until March 4, 2015. On March 4, the amount will be totaled and counted towards the TRF Annual Giving Day fundraising event!
Please help us #slaycancerwithdragons. Thank you so much for your support.
